Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a two-run homer in the eighth and Boston turned the scoring with three runs in the inning to beat the Detroit Tigers 5-3 on Friday.

Bradley pulled it out for right-hander reliever Alex Wilson (1-3), breaking the tie 3-3 with two outs in the eighth.

Mitch Moreland also scored with Bradle’s home run after pulling the tie with a single to the right, following Xander Bogaerts’s single to open the event.

Matt Barnes (4-2) threw a relay inning to take the win and Craig Kimbrel credited his 18th save.

Wilson (1-3), who opened the eighth with Detroit top 3-2, suffered the loss after allowing three runs and four hits.

For the Tigers, the Venezuelans Miguel Cabrera of 5-0; And Víctor Martínez of 2-2, an annotated one. The Cuban Jose Iglesias of 4-3.

For the Red Sox, Hanley Ramirez 3-0. The Venezuelans Pablo Sandoval 4-0; And Sandy Leon 3-1.
