The Red Sox will host Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Sunday at Fenway Park.

With Game 1 of the ALDS getting underway in Houston on Thursday, reports surfaced that Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock had researched an attack in Boston, with Fenway Park as a possible target.

In an email statement to MassLive.com the Red Sox said:

“We are aware of the media reports. The FBI has requested all inquiries be referred directly to them. While there is currently no credible threat to Fenway Park according to public safety agencies, the Red Sox have been working with city, state, and federal officials on increased security measures for postseason games at Fenway Park.”

Paddock killed 59 people and injured more than 500 when he opened fire on a music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night from a hotel room near the venue.

Paddock reportedly could not find a hotel with clear access to Fenway Park.
