Mookie Betts fired a three-run homer in the ninth inning for the Boston Red Sox to beat the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.

It was Betts’ fifth homer in the season and his third in the last four games. Thus, Boston salvaged at least one win in the three-game series.

The Red Sox had not been to Milwaukee since 2003.
Betts, Boston right fielder, enjoyed his stay at Miller Park, where he hit 11-7 with eight RBIs and five runs.

Milwaukee closer, Naphtali Felix (0-4) came on the mound in the ninth inning, but only one out. Craig Kimbrel (2-0) took the last five outs and Boston broke the Brewers’ three-game winning streak.

For the Red Sox, Puerto Rican Christian Vazquez 3-1 with an annotated. Eduardo Rodriguez of Venezuela 2-0.

By the Brewers, the Dominicans Jonathan Villar of 4-2 with a pushed, Domingo Santana of 4-0. Hernan Perez of 4-0, Jesus Aguilar 3-0, Manny Piña 3-1 with a run scored, Orlando Arcia 2-0.
